In Gokwe, anonymous text messages were sent to voters, two months after the election claiming that the winning candidate Flora Bhuka was withdrawing as an MP, with he messages  falsely claiming she withdrew from the race due to personal reasons. The intention was to create confusion and discourage support for her.
