About This Project
In rural Zvishavane-Ngezi constituency in the Midlands province, a ZANU PF contesting candidate was recorded minsforming and intimidating citizens including women that their votes will be known upon polling, hence they are safer voting for ZANU PF.
Aspiring Member of Parliament Meckey Jaravaza, told villagers that the traditional leaders and party cell leaders were accompanying voters to the polling station on voting day to counter ‘kurasisa’ or voting for a different party. The election agents, who ‘were trained in Harare’ would be counting the voters and noting down the serial numbers on their voting slips, as a countermeasure to ascertain if they vote for CCC.
